Temporary Closure of The Hotel
For the past few months, the hotel has been closed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The global situation, as well as global travel restrictions have had a big impact on the number of travelers in the country. This means that we decided to close down temporarily, with a planned opening this spring.
On the bright side, this has enabled us to use the time of closure to perform maintenance and work we would not be able to do under normal conditions.
What We've Done
We are pleased to have had time to explore our room for improvement and act on it.
In addition to making huge improvements back-of-house, we've also made some more obvious upgrades:

Interior RepaintingList Item 1
Firstly, we have chosen a new modern color for the hallways, which have now been repainted.
We decided to go with a light-gray color that matches the gray colors that have been slowly taking over the walls of the hotel. The new gray tone color creates a more modern & relaxed atmosphere within the hotel.

New SignageList Item 2
A brand new & wholly redesigned signage system has been installed.
The new design focuses on simplicity, ease-of-use & elegance.
All room numbers have been changed according to a new plan based on feedback from customers & staff, eliminating all confusion associated with the old numbering system.

Refreshed LightingList Item 3
To complement the new color & signage, the old flush-mount lights in the hallways have been replaced by more energy efficient track lights.
The result is a more modern feeling hotel experience and a big reduction in power use.

We've set up a carefully curated feature wall, consiting of fun facts, local information and more content to help guests get the most out of their visit.
